Strengthening the Digital Presence of the 108 Mile Heritage Site
About the Organization
The 108 Mile Heritage Site is a community heritage destination in the South Cariboo that preserves the stories and history of the region. The site includes historic buildings, exhibits, and community programming that connect visitors and locals with the area's past.
Like many heritage organizations, the site operates with a small team and dedicated volunteers who balance programming, events, and day-to-day operations.
The Opportunity
When I began supporting the Heritage Site, there was an opportunity to strengthen the organization's online presence and digital communication.
Community members and visitors were looking for information online about:

The goal was to create a consistent and welcoming digital presence that would help the organization stay connected with the community while promoting the site's activities.
My Role
Through Aurora Pixel Services, I supported the Heritage Site with a range of digital and design work to strengthen how the organization communicates with the community and visitors.

• Ongoing website updates and digital support

• Design of labels and signage used within the site and gift shop

The focus has been on creating a clear and welcoming digital presence while also supporting the organization’s printed materials and visitor experience.

Through consistent storytelling, event promotion, and ongoing digital updates, the Heritage Site has strengthened both its online presence and its connection with the community.
